“Lahore leads with AI-powered licence car”
Lahore:
With the introduction of the nation’s first driving test vehicle powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Pakistan has made significant progress towards modernising its licensing system. This innovation, which aims to guarantee transparency, efficiency, and fairness throughout the entire process, represents a turning point for the Lahore driving licence system.
The car, which was unveiled by DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir, has facial recognition software, biometric fingerprint verification, and sophisticated cameras. The AI system eliminates the possibility of human bias, tracks every move, and gives candidates automated driving test instructions as soon as they enter.
How the Digital Driving Test in Pakistan Operates
Every important aspect of safe driving is examined in Pakistan’s digital driving test. In addition to seatbelt and handbrake configuration checks and a countdown timer, the smart car has an AI system that immediately rejects applicants if reverse gear is used more than once. The system automatically uploads test results, which lowers the possibility of error or manipulation.
Punjab’s Smart Traffic System Grows
The project will soon spread to other Punjabi cities after being initially implemented in Lahore. This accomplishment is noteworthy because the Punjab Traffic Police demonstrated their dedication to creating an intelligent traffic system in Punjab by developing the system on their own initiative without outside funding.
Transparency is Guaranteed by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority
All driving test centres will have cameras running around-the-clock to increase accountability. The test footage will now be permanently stored and directly connected to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s secure database, in contrast to the previous practice of deleting it after 15 days.
Pakistan Is a Leader in AI Licensing
In addition to making roads safer, this milestone places Pakistan as one of the few nations implementing AI in public service systems. The project’s success demonstrates how technology can significantly enhance the driving licence system in Lahore and elsewhere.
That’s a wonderful news as Pakistan is moving forward in tech…..
Yeah looking forward for more…..
